The airport is 2 km from Alajuela Central.  Taking the Alajuela exit you will pass the International Mall and at the second traffic light turn left, go into the right lane and stay in this lane following the road, do not turn left or right, and after the traffic light opposite the gas station Total get in the left lane and at the second light turn left (cemetary on the corner and Pizza Hut Express on the right), sign indicates to Poas and Atenas.  Follow this road for 4 km until you reach the town of Barrio San Jose, after the restaurant Princess Marina on the right go direct 200 metres and turn left at the gas station Chamu (painted black and white), follow this road 1 km, then turn right onto Calle Los Gringos (sign on the corner) and then 50 meters turn left into a deadend and Casa Yapanqui is the first house on the righthand side.
